Thanks for your comments.
I guess it depends on your goal and as I said above and in the link (which I do recommend you read), my goal/purpose is to help people optimize their health and longevity not build bigger muscles that may not be natural and/or healthy. In that scenario, I have never encountered a situation where excess protein was needed or desired.
Besides, there were many successful bodybuilders that existed long before supplements ever did.
What has happened today in the world of bodybuilding, and the dramatic increase in the use of supplements, drugs, hormones, etc, is clearly not healthy nor is engaging in these practice. It may produce humans with unusually large muscles who may be "successful" in terms of winning a contest, but where is the evidence that doing so, is either good for you or healthy or will help you be successful in the world of longevity and optimal health?
As I mentioned, people may have conflicting goals, and what it takes to be "successful" in the realm of a short term physical fitness goal may be in conflict with what it takes to be "Successful" in the realm of a long term optimal health goal.
There isn't one example anywhere of a long lived population that is bodybuilders, take supplements or a high protein intake.
I wish you success in whatever your personal goals are.
In Health
Jeff
