Subject:         Vit D Supplement Levels

Hi Jeff,

In the current issue of Vegetarian Times, Dr Neil Barnard in his column suggests that in order to maximize the preventative cancer fighting characteristics of Vit D, that one should take upto 1900 units per day. Currently I follow Dr Esseslstyn's recomendation by taking 400 units (I am 54 years old) and am strictly VLF Vegan. What is your thinking on this. I never heard Vit D dosage reccomendations that high but since it's from Dr Barnard my interest perked up. Thanks as always.
