There are many extracts out there so if you post a specific product I can tell you what i think of it, but in general, I see no reason to use butter extracts. Why recreate the flavor of a food you are trying to avoid and/or know is unhealthy? In my experience, it doesnt help in the process of moving away from unhealthy foods to keep imitating them. In regard to your other question, it is very general as i dont know anything about you, the events, the drinks, etc etc nor would i make a specific health recommendation for someone with out knowing all the above and/or from a general question on a public health forum. However, again, most often I do not see the need for these drinks, and find many, if not most all, to be unhealthy. In Health Jeff
