Greetings, Water is the best fluid for us and the best water and the best place to get the best water is from fresh fruits and vegetables and consuming a diet that is high in fresh fruits and vegetables, which are about 90% water. In addition, starchy vegetables, intact whole grains and legumes are about 70% water and another great source of water. As far as beverages, water is the single best choice. I remember not to long ago, water was pretty much the only option available at home and at school and somehow children and teens did great. I focus on teaching what the best choices are and not what is the best compromise. The lesser of two evils is still evil. :) Our nations is so far from good health that a better compromise is not a good solution. We should focus on what we can do right and keep on doing that and increasing the amount and frequency of which we do it. See that their diet is based on fresh fruits, vegetables, starchy vegetables, intact whole grains and legumes and that they are very active and keep focusing on getting them to do more of these important bebaviors and more often.
