Greetings,

I do not have an answer to your question, nor do I like to respond to "best choice" questions. The reason is, there is never any one answer because so many factors come into play when making such a choice.

More importantly, my view and my hope for you is that these scenario's will occur so infrequently, that the choice will not really matter in the bigger picture. No one, follows any program 100% and what matters most is what matters most, which is what we do 95% of the time.

I do not know your current health status, what your health challenges may be, if any, etc etc.

In addition, you are asking me about just one item out of the context of a whole dinner.

I do not see why anyone who is not gluten sensitive would opt for such a choice especially if it is not whole grain. Most gnocchi is made with white flour and may have eggs in it. Whole grains are the best choice but what will also matter is the sauce and other foods you eat it with.

Personally, I think a meal of whole grain pasta with a fresh tomato (or fresh pomodoro) sauce without any added oil, salt or sugar, loaded full of fresh steamed veggies and served with a large salad and a bowl of fresh fruit is an excellent choice. The closer you come to that, the better for you.

I am sure with a little creativity and discussion with the management, you will be able to get what you want.

In Health
Jeff
