Subject:         Studies supporting Weston Price's contentions
Date: April 26, 2009 at 1:28 pm PST

Hi Jeff,

BTW, thank you so much for running this forum!

I was recently reading the website of someone who sells her dietary advice and belongs to the Weston Price group. On her website, she references various studies that support her contentions. I've listed a few of her references below.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to analyze the studies myself for flaws. Is anyone systematically analyzing these types of studies that are being used to attack a healthy plant-based diet? I'd like to see such an analysis. I would love to know how to respond when people throw out such "evidence." I imagine there's MUCH more evidence for the kind of diet we favor (I have Michael Greger's excellent new DVD's on nutrition research) but it'd be helpful to know the flaws in these other studies.

Thank you,
