Subject:         liquid smoke

I have been using this to impart a smoky flavor to beans without using meat, but I wonder if it is safe. The ingredients are: water,natural hickory smoke flavor, vinegar, molasses, caramel color and salt. (sodium 10mg per teaspoon)
