Hi George, Coffee comes from the coffee 'bean' and like any other bean, the coffee bean does contain nutrients including vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. There was a report a few years back that said coffee was the leading source of antioxdiants in the American diet. However, the reason this was so is not because coffee is such a rich source of antioxidants but because many Americans consume lots of coffee and very few fruits and vegeteables. Coffee won on quantity not quality. Here are some of my discussions on coffee.. http://www.drmcdougall.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5696 http://www.drmcdougall.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7516 http://www.drmcdougall.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7608 In Health Jeff
