I understand that the diet you most highly recommend doesn't contain any animal products and, therefore, no cholesterol. But can you tell me what evidence there is in regard to how consumption of cholesterol affects cholesterol levels in the blood (or/and heart disease risk)? I know decades ago cholesterol was considered the culprit in causing high blood cholesterol so people started giving up eggs. Then I heard research came out that saturated fat was AS important or MORE important for increasing blood cholesterol. Is that true? I realize it's complicated because cholesterol is only a marker for HD risk. Also, what's the evidence on vegetable oils increasing HD risk? Thank you, Sammy
