Is it true that cooked/heated proteins are denatured as well as all 'cooked, heated' foods and we thus lose vitamins, minerals from them and carcinogens are added to the foods also because high heat got to them also? My friend who is a raw foodist told all this to me, preached it to me exactly yesterday and said I should start the new year off eating a 100% raw food diet consisting mostly of fresh raw fruits and greens w/a little bit of nuts and avocados as too much raw fat is bad for the body. Do u think that eating this way in the new year would be a whole lot healthier than eating heated/cooked foods? How much of your daily diet is raw vs. cooked? Do u personally eat lots of cooked starches? What is the predominant food category in your overall diet? Thanks
