This is a little off topic, but is a point of interest. I just learned from my children's dental hygienist that xylitol is a natural way to protect teeth from cavities without the chemical concerns of floride. Xylitol is a plant derived, non-glycemic sweetener that is found in some toothpaste and gum at health food stores and the internet. You can also buy it in powder form and use it in recipes at home to get protection for your teeth. There may be more to it than that. This is totally new to me, I'm just learning.
