Basmati is variety of rice that can be found in both the refined
white and the whole grain brown version. The Brown Basmati rice
would be your best choice. It is regularly available and I even have
found it at the local costco and BJs.

Losing weight isnt about any one food, good or bad. Loosing
weight is about a total aproach. However, i recommend focusing
your diet on foods low in calorie density for weight loss and rice is
a low calorie dense food. Not as low as fruits and vegetables, but
still fairly low.
