Hi Heidi, Showing an isolated component of some substance (that an industry would like you to beleive is food) has pharmacological effects, even if these effects appear to be positive, doesn't make the substance the component came from a food for humans, let alone healthy. We can isolate nicotine from tobacco and caffeine from coffee and use them in studies and show some apparent beneficial pharmacological effects. However, this does not make tobacco or coffee foods, let alone healthy. There are many of us health professionals, who think if there is just one food we could all eliminate, it would be dairy products. Sites (And forums) like this one are full of information and references why. Keep studying! In Health Jeff
