You are correct, all and any of the tools used to calculate calories are inaccurate. In addition, ou are a dynamic and not a static being, so our caloric needs are different each and every day depending on many factors.

I recommend that people in general do not count calories, or portions or servings, but instead following the principles and guidelines of calorie density. Understanding calorie density allows you to eat until you are full whenever you are hungry, feel satisfied, meet your nutrient needs and maintain a healthy weight.
