I know, this isn't a weight board....but when estimating calories, I need to have some idea of how many calories total I should be taking in, right? How accurate are the calorie/metabolism guides you find on-line? I've checked several. According to them, a very petite middle aged lady like me (who doesn't want to blow up like the Goodyear blimp in the next few years) needs a mere 1100 calories a day to maintain my proper weight. If that's true, I better start cutting way back now. How do you figure what is a proper intake? the so-called food pyramid lists so many servings of this and that that I'd have to be an NFL defensive tackle to burn up all that food.
