You can see a great recent example of what I am talking about here This is an experiment done in the Marshall Islands in regard to Diabetes http://www.canvasback.org/news/current.html While some of their traditional foods like coconut were maintained in the intervention, total saturated fat intake was less than 7% (and may have been less than 5%). Dietary fiber was 35-50 grams or more and the mainstay of the program was fresh fruits, veggies, starches, etc. In health Jeff
