Hi Cathy
>>Are there any veggieburgers out there that are not too bad?
Define "not to bad". :)
>>I hate to stand there with the freezer open reading labels!
Due to the availability of the internet, you can investigate many
products online without having to even go to the store. In fact, I
get the info of the Nutrition Facts Label and the Ingesdients for
many of the products I use in my presentations from the
manufacturers websites.
Whole Foods, GardenBurger and BocaBurger all make vegan veggie
burgers. However, most of these veggie burgers are extremely
high in sodium (the garden burger is the lowest) And many are
highly refined and processed "foods" There are some other
brands made from mostly whole grains, legumes and nuts/seeds. I
beleive sunburger to be one, but havent seen available locally for
some time.
I saw these the other day while walking thru costco, and they seem
to pass all my "label" guidelines but may not pass for those who
are 100% vegan as they say they may have traces of milk, dairy.
This is probably due to where they are manufactured

If you would like to post a few of your favorites, I would be glad to
evaluate them for you.
