thank you so much for your time/answers. i had to reinstate medical insurance, so i have actually no money now even for food (my bf is helping me out now) much less a dietition, but when I have seen one, they tell me i need more protein, should drink dairy, less vegetables since i am thin, etc. i was lucky to work one time with a vegan nutritonist but he had me eating much more soy/starch, less vegetables then I do now. i have tried an all raw diet at one time but now mix it up since i wasnt doing well on that alone and was told that wasnt sufficient for me. I do have very tiny bones which make me small so i wish to make changes perminently for the future. but this was a sports injury, 8 foot fall. i am very active and had bad falls before hand, 1st time breaking something.

my dr. says i should eat chick'n now since protein will help spare my muscle to protect the bones during healing, but arent beans/soy just as good? i need info proving this is enough since my bf wishes me to eat meat now and i dont want to. i find out today if its healing and if i might have to have surgery on it again.

my bf will get stuff off the salad bar at roots oraganic market such as vegan chikn salad and tofu salad and kale salad which tastes salty to me, but then i just add vinegar to the entire salad. this is about the only "processed" foods I eat now. the soy items have veganaise in them. is that harmful? the nutritional info isnt listed. i only sprinkle a pinch of salt in items i cook and reducing it as tolerated so i am not sure how much that is. i am celiac so i really only eat whole foods now. i try to get most my carbs from fruit but have corn/plain red potatoes daily now but in small amounts. i dont eat much gf items since they seem to be nutritionally void. i only occassionally split a gf pizza. would 1/2 one every 2 weeks be bad? I have avoided those type of items until i find out its healing.

again, thank you for your comments. i will input my food items to see how i am doing but i am not good with measuring. i think i am in the right direction and eat healthier then almost everyone i know just because i love to feel good, be active and respect good health. after this, i am now horrified if i see someone drinking a soda!
