Not all Mother's Margarine is soy/dairy free. Be very careful about reading the labels.

Also, Inmostorganic sections of grocery stores you can find a shortening made from palm oil that is both soy and dairy free - I think it goes under the name Spectrum Organic Non-Hydrogenated Shortening.
