Someone mentioned probiotics, but beware. My 15 month old is severely allergic dairy and wheat. Even though he was dairy free for one and a half months he still kept bleeding rectally. We had been giving him a probiotic. After finding out that probiotics are fed dairy products during one of the steps of fermentation (even the ones that say dairy-free)we quit giving it to him. With in a week and a half he quit bleeding, started having normal bowel movements and was able to eat big people food and not pureed foods. So watch out for probiotics!
