Thank you so much for your advice. I've recently come from Germany and being vegetarian there would be no problem and I grew up hunting so meat would be a hard thing to get over. I think its been more common there for longer so there are more products available easily (AND there is an abundance of cheap fresh produce) There is more available here now than I remembered though. :) I havent' had to worry about the non-dairy thing in years. I just have to get organized with what I'm looking for so I can drive the 30 mins to the nearest health food store with a "dairy" section. We eat alot of things that are sort of scary... I LOVE kimchi and it's fermented cabbage. Who would ever have thought to eat THAT the first time....

P.S. The cream is for making ice cream, whipped cream and cream sauses for pasta and the like.
