It makes me so mad when I find links like this. there is so much on the internet that is just people' opinion, and it is taken as gospel.
I work with people who have osteoporosis and osteopaenia and you are right there are many causal factors involved, not just dietary intake.
You are also right that calcium can be obtained by means other than dairy. However, it is not true that protein causes calcium to be leached from bone. Neither is it true that osteoporosis is restricted to dairy eating societies. People in the third world also experience this disease, they just don't always live long enough to have it exposed.
If you want to look for evidence, try looking for level one evidence (one or more randomised control trials) conducted by IMPARTIAL scientists, not people who have written books they want to sell or who want animals to be removed from world farming.
Milk is the cheapest and easiest way to obtain the 700mg calcium required daily.
