Only that the reason your vegan friends say you are "allergic" to dairy, which probably isn't quite the right word, is because most adult humans lack the enzyme needed to digest lactose, for the reason that adult mammals are supposed to be weaned from milk by the time they're out of babyhood. A nature thing, makes sense. I would say you are just not used to the gas forming substances in beans, as a lot of people are. Two things, one is that as you migrate more to a diet with lots of fiber, vegetables and beans, your digestive processes should adjust. In the meantime, you might want to go over to the New Veggies and ask Bryanna, because I know I've seen her post information on this subject before.
