My breastfed baby is allergic to dairy and soy. So that really knocks out alot of foods. I am also coming to the conclusion that he may be allergic to eggs! (I am lacto-ovo) So I can't eat any more processed foods because almost everything has some form of dairy in it (whey, casein, sodium caseinate) or soy. There are no health food stores here so I have to make everything from scratch. Also, if I don't eat protein I get hypoglycemic symptoms. And it is hard to find protein snack ideas when you can't have dairy or eggs. I can eat nuts but don't want to do it everyday in fear of another allergy developing. If I eat carbs and no protein I feel icky. Before now I would eat yogurt or cottage cheese for protein. I can't even have dip for my veggies now. So I'm really out of options for snacks. Any ideas for meals and snacks? I've been surving on bean burritos and spagetti but that is getting old. I am REALLY struggling with this. I really don't want to have to stop breastfeeding my baby but it is such a challenge coming up with food ideas.
