Hi I lived in Wash DC when I had my baby girl. She too was diagnosed with reflux - although this turned out to be a pediatricians uneducated guess. I was able to get her to UCLA medical center with a pediactric gastroenterologist. We found out that my daughter was misdiagnosed in Wash DC and that this happens often. You need to have your pediatrician take a simple hemocult test of your child's stool. ( to see if blood is present) It is probably and highly likely that your child cannot digest the large proteins from diary or soy and it is causing colitis. In that case you, as a breastfeeding mother must elimianate those ingredients from your diet or put your child on neocate. Reflux is a very wrong diagnoses. I have tons of recipes and my daughter is healthy, happy and well fed. The skin issue clued me into the the fact that this is gastro - I assume your child must cry alot and feel pain when digesting food...... didi didi@carlwelch.com
