I think you've been given some bad advice by a lazy or outdated nutritionist. Cheese and eggs are two of THE most unhealthy sources of protein, and most unethical exploitations of animals. There are numerous vegatarian sources of protein eg. beans, nuts, mushrooms, tofu, soy products, gluten etc.

Get onto the PETA website and go to the vegetarian starters kit. On the front page it will list famous athletes who are vegetarian. The list includes some surprising names including powerliftng champions and a a former Mr Universe.

If your diet doesn't contain enough protein naturally, look up Soy vs Whey on google and it will come up with several studies that prove soy protein is the best form of protein supplement for anybody, not just vegetarians.

I think as a vegetarian you really shouldn't be eating regular cheese, extraction of rennet is one of the most barbaric practices of the farming industry. There are alternative cheeses that use vegetable enzymes if you must have cheese. As for the eggs, I'm sure as a responsible vegetarian you only eat free range eggs so I won't go there.
