Hi Lysa,

The list of foods you posted: milk/dairy products. ice cream, margarine, and mozzarela cheese interestingly all have dairy in them. (Alot of folks think that since margarine isn't butter, it has no dairy, but just about all margarines have dairy in them ..... one that doesn't and that really tastes good is Earth Balance).

Dairy is a prime food allergen .. and eliminating that would certainly be my first suggestion to you. It's not as impossible as you think, although it will take some new habits.

Learn the ingredients that are "hidden" dairy items when you read labels: lactose, whey, casein, dry milk solids. Many, many items you don't connect w/ dairy have these in them ... crackers, bread, breakfast cereals, etc. Even soy and rice cheeses ... most contain casein to make them melt and give them a better "mouth feel".

I doubt seriously your daughter is reacting to your pets ... they've been in the house since before she was born, so unless she's been reacting from very early on in her life, I wouldn't suspect them. In fact, research is shows that children who are around animals routinely (farms, pets, etc) have much lower incidence of asthma and other allergic type disease processes.
