Hi, I found out that I was allergic to dairy quite by accident. I have been sickly my whole life, and most of my childhood is a blur because my mother, bless her heart, kept me tanked up on some purple and/or green elixor. I slept through most of my early years. I'm sure I had asthma as a child, but was never diagnosed. As I got older I learned to live with pain. I had two to three migraines a month, had terrible stomach problems, had severe asthma, and was about 40 pounds over weight. I went to a medical doctor first,(that was a joke) then the allergist, (another haha) he couldn't find anything either. Then about 2 1/2 years ago my family went on vacation and for some odd reason milk just never found its way into my diet for about a full week. I felt better that week than I had felt in a long time. The last night of our trip we went to a coffe house. Of course I had not made the connection yet and I ordered up the largest latte they had and then added real cream on top of that. I did ok for about an hour, then all heck broke loose. I stayed in the bathroom all night, plus a migraine came with it. Needless to say we were not able to leave the next day, I was still too sick to travel. After we returned home, I started doing experiments of my own and adding 2+2 together and came up with the fact that dairy and I just cannot co-exist. I have been dairy free for a little over 2 years now and I now have only 2 -3 migraines a year, my asthma has subsided to the point of not using my enhaler except for strenuous activity, I have minimal to no stomach problems, and best of all, I dropped 45 pounds without putting any effort into it. I wish sometimes that it was only a lactose intolerance, but I can't even take in the "non-dairy" creamer because it contains caseinate. I always know when someone has slipped something in on me. The phrase "sick as a dog" is too kind for what follows.

Do you also have health issues with dairy?? Most folks, I'm learning, just don't get it.
