just an extra note - nan got me into the habit of sterilising jars - ie
jars should be heated in the oven as opposed to just washing, to make sure
it doesnt have any bugs that could spoil the food or make you sick. - see
jam making posts on how to sterilise any jars - its easy and you can do it
before you cook a roast or something.
