What price range (how LOW) are you thinking is possible when you say rentals can be found "for not a whole lot of $ if you look" ? I am thinking of returning to FL, but everything has gone so high over the years since I left, I am shocked when I search. I live totally on Social Security. I have lived and worked in Bradenton, Sarasota, Valrico, Hyde Park, Gibsonton, Tampa, Jax, and other parts of FL. I graduated from HS in Fort Myers, FL. I have a daughter living in Bradenton, and a son at Disney's Celebration community near Orlando. My best friend from HS and her husband recently retired to Venice, and she urges me to return to FL. When I looked at prices for rentals in Venice, I froze! --and I also lived at Pine Is. (Matlacha) FL in elementary school, when it was just sandspurs and mangroves. Now a rental there can run in the multiple thousands per wk.!!! or more in season. Hope you find this and can respond with some good news. I am sooooo ready to move back to FL. Thanks. Clary
