July 9, 2005

Bio Rad tests of the first 29 BSE samples were all negative according to the National Veterinary Service Laboratory in Ames, Iowa.

The samples were from adult animals removed from the index herd. There were 38 additional samples from the index herd that were received by the Laboratory Friday afternoon.

Those tests are pending. In all, 67 adult animals were removed for BSE sampling.
