Water board wants CWD research lab moved to new location FORT COLLINS - The Fort Collins water board wants a state research lab on chronic wasting disease moved away from the city's water supply. The outdoor facility is home to deer that are infected with chronic wasting disease. It is across the street, and upwind from the intake ponds for the water supply of Fort Collins. State officials believe the risk of human infection is extremely low, but say there is no way to test for the disease in water. The water board recommendation will be passed on to city council. http://www.9news.com/acm_news.aspx?OSGNAME=KUSA&IKOBJECTID=36082456-0abe-421a-0016-377bff66ef02&TEMPLATEID=0c76dce6-ac1f-02d8-0047-c589c01ca7bf
