Stability testing for BSE homogenates - call for expressions of interest The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has issued a call for expressions of interest for stability testing for BSE homogenates. The IRMM, part of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, intends to compile a list of service providers interested in providing data and measuring bovine brainstem tissue of BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) infected and BSE-free bovines for the purposes of stability and homogeneity monitoring. This tissue will be offered in the form of a homogenate. The homogenate will be produced by means of brainstem tissue which will be mixed together with either a respective test-specific buffer (Lot 1, lot 2 or lot 3) or nuclease-free water (lot 4). Service providers entered on this list may be invited to submit formal quotations for the analysis of such BSE homogenates. The list of BSE homogenates covered by the present call for expressions of interest is as follows: Only a selection of the possible BSE homogenates will eventually be ordered. To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: Remarks: The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 5.8.2007. Before contacting the Commission, tenderers are strongly advised to consult the original call text in the Official Journal of the European Union at the reference below.
