Apr 26 2006 6:59PM TALLINN. April 26 (Interfax) - Additional tests have confirmed the absence of a case of mad cow disease in the Jogeva district of Estonia. "Under a state program of measures against an epizooty, cows from the Jogeva district were subjected to express tests at the beginning of this week. The result of one of them suggested that an 11-year-old cow could have had bovine spongiform encephalopathy, or BSE," the Estonian Veterinary and Food Department told Interfax on Wednesday. "However, additional analyses confirmed that the animal did not have mad cow disease," it said. tss
