Hi there! Anyone listen to todays (Sept. 20, 2013)edition of above program on NPR? How about the comments by Peter Sagal and Jessie Klein that "vegan's have no sense of humor anyway". This comment followed the statement regarding the Vegan communities outrage at Starbucks' Halloween condensed milk laden pumpkin latte. Oh sure, it's easy for us peace loving individuals who are sensitive to the suffering of non vocal animals to pass on the humor. After all, no sane individual make jokes about the Holocaust now do they? Why is it ok to vilify and slam individuals who are concerned for the lives of animals to be joked about? I've never heard jokes about the Holocaust on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. Isaac Singer said "each day for the animals is Treblinka". And he would know as a Holocaust survivor. So, all you carnivorous so called animal lovers who wash down your condensed milk sludge, thanks for nothing from the animals, and thanks for nothing from those of us who practice compassion and self health care. Ghandi and I believe a fellow by the name of Jesus were also vilified for their messages of peace. Strange ain't it?
