An old married couple went shopping at the mall one day. When they came out, there was a police officer writing out a parking ticket. The man approached him and said, "Come on, man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?"

The officer ignored him and continued writing the ticket.

"You don't have any respect for your elders!" the man stated.

"Is that right?" the cop replied. "I see your tires are nearly bald. That's another ticket!" He proceeded to start writing the new ticket.

"I can't believe you!" the woman glared. "Your parents must have done a really crappy job raising you!"

The cop frowned, then walked around the car. "Cracked tail light!" he snapped. "Another ticket for improper equipment!"

This went on for several more accusations followed by several more tickets. Just then a bus pulled up to the curb and the couple got on.

"Where are you two going?" the officer asked.

"Home," the man said.

"You can't just leave your car here!" the cop said. "There's a time limit on the meters, you know."

"That's not our car," the man said.

"What?!!" the cop practically roared.

"We don't even own a car," the man said. "You see, the wife and I try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age!"
