At a weight-loss meeting, the instructor held up an apple and a candy bar.

"What are the attributes of this apple, and how do they relate to our diet?"
"Low in calories" and "lots of fiber," were among the answers.
"Now, contrast this to the candy bar. It's high in calories, with virtually no fiber and lots of processed sugar. Apples are not only more healthful but also less expensive. I paid a mere $.25 for the apple and $1.50 for the candy bar."
We stared as she held aloft the forbidden treat. From the back of the room a voice spoke up, "I'll give you two dollars for it
