i had the same experience.
i had strep with abscess, my throat was swollen to less then the size of a dime, at one point i was dry heaving, coughing and couldnt breathe and almost called the hospital (as i was home alone at the time)
i thought that taking a rip of my bong was a bad idea, after moving from 50 mg zpak once a day, to 250 mg zpak four times a day for over a week and a half they did nothing. so i decided to take a few hits and the pain was gone. so i casually smoked over the next few days taking a few hits every couple hours or so and it was gone after about 4 days. didnt feel any pain the whole time, no coughing, just couldnt eat anything besides applesauce and soup
