I just read Dr Klaper's review of the gallbladder flush, and I think he oversimplified it as pure snake oil. I've seen dozens of people do a regimen very similar to what he described, usually with the inclusion of apple juice beforehand and epsom salts during, though some detox books call for slight variations. I'm not a clinician of any kind, I simply work in a health food store for the last 20 years, which gives an interesting cross-section of stories. In any case, I too am skeptical but having seen lots of people say it really helped their symptom overnight seems that there IS something going on there.. The fresh bile stones that are released are not presented always as "proof" that it "worked", nor do most detox books claim that the whole goal is moving fresh bile. the whole idea is that oxidized bile stones may also move out of the bile ducts in addition to the normal green ones. I don't think the gallbladder flush is for everyone, especially with acute gallbladder inflammation. But to call it snake oil seems silly to me, after seeing so many people claim it really made a difference in symptoms for them.
