Hi, I have pointy nodules growing on the proximal inter phalangeal joints on both hands. I have been to G.P.s and specialists who tell me it it is skin tissue and not arthritis nodules as they are not usually on the same knuckle as mine. I do have arthritis in my neck and am having pain in hip and shoulder joints. The nudules are only on the top of the joint not at the sides. The joint itself does not seem inflamed at all. The only hurt when they are growing or I hit them on something. Yow! Do you have any ideas on what it may be.
