Subject:	Long-term prednisone use

My DH has been using prednisone for over 25 years. Why his doctors never made him get off them is mind-boggling to me.

He has long-term COPD and is under the assumption that it has been prednisone that has kept him alive.

Is there anything nutropathically that would replace prednisone? Or, at least help to control the junk he coughs up from his chest and sinuses.
