I have this on my hands and I take benadryl when it acts up. I recently had a bad flare up whith the heat and had to have a steriod shot. and was given some cream lac-hydrin it is over the counter and there is a perscription form that is stronger. the other perscription i have taken is atarax and it will stop the itching
