My son was diagnosed with strep throat and is now on an antibiotic. I don't like antibiotics but feel like he should be taking them since he had a high fever, sore throat, etc.,
I read about people gargling with grapefruit seed extract (5-15 drops per 5 oz water) so I called my health food srore and they were out. The lady recommended propolis plus extract. She said she gives it to het children by a half dropper full, they gargle with it, then swallow the rest and said there were no drug interactions and that it kills the strep bacteria faster than the grapefruit extract.
I bought some and plan to gargle with it to see if it keeps me from getting strep because I'm very suseptible myself.
If anyone has heard of propolis please let us know, or if you try it let us know the results and I'll post mine later.
