Subject: sore throat, very hard to swallow

I have a really bad sore throat. It is very hard to swallow and I have gotten 6 hours of sleep in 2 nights due to this. it hurts really bad to swallow and it feels like the tubes in your neck are swollen, and salivia and such can barely get through. If anybody colud please tell me what this is and what will help I would realy appreciate that a lot.
