Strep throat is (Streptococcis) a bacteria and not a virus. It can go away on it's own, but allot of the time it doesn't. It can go away with use of antibiotic and immune stimulating herbs. If you have fever, pain for more than 3 days and or become weak, you should go get medical attention. Eric
