I'll tell ya, my dad was a small town GP, and he always said there's nothing more frustrating for a doctor than the "I'm always tired" patient. I could be SOOOOOOO many things, and to go ahead and te4st for everything can cost a fortune.
The first thing that came to my mind was vitamin b12. For vegetarians it's really a good idea to take a suppliment, and b vitamins are water soluble and only stay in the body about 4 hours, so you need to take them often. A lack of b12 can leave you anemic, and without the b12, iron sup[pliments won't help.

If it's the thyroid it may not show up on tests. The basic panel doesn't show the whole picture, but most doctors don't understand the chemistry of the thyroid enough to know that.

For me, exercise makes a HUGE differance!!!!Helps me sleep better at night and feel better during the day. Sweating is the best natural detox there is, so if it's caused by a build up of environmental toxins it will help cleanse the body of them.

I also have a mild thyroid imbalance, and a rootbeer in the middle of the day really helps when I'm getting sluggish. Rootbeer was originally a homeopathic for adrenal support. Get one with natural ingredients, and no caffein, caffein will make you crash when it wears off. I'd reccomend the ingredient, but I can't remember it right now.

To find out if it's the thyroid, take your temperature right when you wake up, before you get out of bed. If it's low 3 times in a row, you have a thyroid problem. There are some good thyroid treatments at the health food store.

If you have ups and downs during the day, could be blood sugar. Make sure you get protiens and fats at breakfast, and low carbs.

Answering the questions others have posted here can help narrow it down as well. It really could be so many things.....allergies, food intollerances, lack of enough fresh air, asthma that is too mild to cause symptoms other than keeping your oxygen levels low.
