I know this is an old thread but I just discovered the Forks over Knives,
Engine 2 and Dr. Esselstyn's newest book Preventing and reversing
Heart disease. I was curious about all the studies and what kind of
people were in the studies. For example, the body builders or people
that are very active and still eat meat, dairy, eggs, etc. what is their
chance of developing heart disease? How do their lifestyles compare to
the people that already have heart disease? To me that seems a
potentially huge factor, no? I remember a while back when eggs were
evil and gave you high cholesterol and I don't hear of cases where
these body builders are having high cholesterol whose diets have eggs
everyday. Is it just that the people that are very active help keep it
under control and it never progresses or something? Could you
discuss a little? Thanks!
