Got my most recent blood test. 114 total cholesterol, and only 58 LDL. Very pleased. Its the lowest I've ever done. It does take 40mg of Crestor to get me this low as well as a low fat vegan diet. With 45 more pounds to lose though, I anticipate being able to cut my Crestor back by end of year. I"m very pleased about that. I've been on statins of one kind or another for more than 10 years.

I read a theory somewhere that people with elevated cholesterol over long periods of time may lose the ability to regulate cholesterol levels as well as those who've always been on such a diet. Who knows.

The actual question I have is if there are any fruits or vegetables high in vitamin D. When I google vitamin D sources I'm always given things like dairy, cod liver oil...things I don't eat. I know there is always sunshine, but so far that's not working for me.

cheers,
mark
