Hi Josh,

I feel your pain as well. I also live in the City and I find it very difficult to find a GP let alone a cardiologist who is enthusiastic about the program. Even when I put Dr E's book in their hands and point to his credentials they still remain silent. Also I have to pry it out of them when my labs come back and they are perfect with no drug interventions called for. I sometimes feel that they are disappointed that you are doing well. With the new health care delivery model their opportunity for increased revenue from you is greatly diminished so they want to the next patient where they have opportunity.

I remember that Dr Ornish had established a center at Beth Israel approx 16 yrs ago but was closed due to lack of interest (I was told this by one of the physicians who had participated there). The only other contact which might yield something is Aaron Katz, MD (specialist in treatment of prostate cancer).

I listen to him Sunday mornings on his WABC Radio show (which is streamed as well for out of state folks) and he advocates a low fat diet. So maybe his office could give you some GP's and cardiologists who have similar philosophies. Worth a shot.

Best of luck,
