Herman,
the total cholesterol of 74 it was when he asked me to start takin half pills of statins. Then my tot cholesterol went to more "normal" numbers. I am today in Sao Paulo. When I return Rio I will post my recent numbers. My Doctor thinks the actual numbers under 150 are ok. I myself feel good to be under statins for a while at least because I dont know what numbers I would get without statins.
